The Roman Amphitheatre

Promenade with a view of Brijuni

Vodnjan

Kažun Park

Kažun is the identity of Vodnjan, and the art of dry stone wall construction has been included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity. You and your pet can enjoy Kažun Park, an open-air museum of a sort, where you can find out about the construction process of building a kažun.

Bike trails

Each season brings its own delights. Trails, itineraries and bike routes will take you to the world of untouched nature. Together with your pet you can choose among the 120 km long trails and explore the remains of ancient civilizations that have enriched this area.

Marčana

Mutvoran Fortress

The remains of the fortress of Mutvoran, which used to protect Budava during the Roman and Byzantine rule, can be seen at the very entrance to the town. Take your pet into the distant past by walking through this medieval town.

Mate Balota Memorial Collection, Rakalj

Round off your visit to Rakalj by visiting the museum, a memorial collection depicting the life in Rakalj at the beginning of the 20th century, and Mate Balota’s literary and professional work. Your pet is welcome!

Lookout of St. Agnes

A walk through Stari Rakalj, apart from one of the most beautiful lookouts overlooking the Raša Bay, will delight you with its history – here you can see the remains of the former castle and the church of St. Agnes. Nature and the environment are perfect for spending time with your pets, but also for taking beautiful photos.

Stjepan Hauser Trail, Rakalj

This 5 km long trail, stretching from the bay of Kalavojna, along the Luka bay, all the way to the lighthouse of St. Mikula, is ideal for a walk with pets, short breaks and enjoying the beautiful landscape.

Ližnjan

Monte Madonna Hill

The rich and diverse vegetation of the municipality of Ližnjan is a colourful and fragrant invitation to all walkers with pets to come and discover the endemic and protected floral species of this area. Walk down the educational path of St. Stipan through a pine forest and reach a lookout with an amazing view of the open sea and the islands of Cres and Lošinj.

Marlera Peninsula

The Marlera Peninsula in Ližnjan offers an especially magical sunset. A place to enjoy the idyllic landscapes where your pet will happily run all the way to the lighthouse surrounded by picturesque vineyards and Mediterranean vegetation. Great photos are guaranteed, and it can be easily reached by car or on foot.

Nesactium

Numerous traces of this area’s rich history are woven into the relaxing beauty of its nature, which makes a visit with your pet even more interesting. The archaeological park with preserved architectural remains from the age of Antiquity and Late Antiquity is surrounded by 800 m of ramparts that will take your breath away.
